International Writers and Consultants Academy began its life as the College of Copywriting and Marketing in 2005, however the founders’ experience in the copywriting industry goes back way before then.
Turn the clock back to 1993 and IWCA co-founder Kristina Mills(known as Kris Fitzsimmons back then) established Words that Sell, an innovative direct marketing consultancy which focused on delivering great results writing copy for and consulting to all manner of clients.

As time went by the business grew and Kris and her team were faced with a challenge. They were finding it virtually impossible to locate really good direct response copywriters who didn't charge the earth.
In fact, they was having so much trouble that they often had to turn work away.
In September 2005, Kris got so fed up she decided to develop a range of courses to train freelance copywriters to a standard that she was happy with.
We now offer a range of copywriting, communications and marketing courses aimed at marketing professionals, small business owners and budding freelancers.
We also run live seminars around Australia.
